We are a family business with its second and third generations working in it. Our founders, Charles & Neva Sutton are no longer with us but they passed down values that are deeply rooted into all aspects of our business. Our philosophy is simple.  We treat our customers like we want to be treated.  All of our products are designed, fabricated, and assembled in the US. Humble History

In 1982, Charles Sutton purchased the first pick-ups for his service business.  Out of desperation to have truck accessories that would fit his specific needs, Charles designed a pick-up bed cap.  After many design modifications, in 1989, he began marketing them to service and utility companies in the central United States.  Needing accessories for the truck cap, he designed a ladder rack but many of the utilities companies wanted a way to tie down and lock their ladders. Again he went back to the drawing board and he and his son, Wayne created and patented the QUIK-LOCK Ladder Restraint System. As the ladder lock business grew, the ladder rack designs evolved. Wayne joined the company full time and began designing ladder racks. They are now streamlined, adaptable and patented. Charles has passed away and Able is in its second generation with Wayne and his wife Kim leading the way. Their three sons have grown up working alongside shop employees assisting in production and shipping. Our company began with a humble history but has now grown to serve the needs of the utility and service industries across the western hemisphere by designing and building ladder racks, ladder locks, and ladder rack accessories to fit service bodies.
